Flowering Rock LLC was formed in 2012 after spending a year living in Greece. We were moved by the industrious young people making the most out one of the worst economic crisis in recent history.  In order to promote the abundance of creativity  of artists, artisans, designers, makers and growers producing inspiring things, we started the company and the named it after the resilient Mediterranean landscape where botanicals bloom out of rock.

Since our founding, we have produced a distinctive collection of fine tisanes,  featuring aromatic botanicals of Greece, that have sponsored growth for small organic farmers in central Greece ( Read more about our tisanes on product page). We also support and promote small workshops for bespoke collections of woven tapestries, handmade ceramics, folk art, printed matter, graphic and industrial design elements, handmade jewelry, and fine art.

We have expanded our mission to include support artists and innovative maker workshops in the United States.  Our storefront Project Space 17C in Boston's South End, SoWa Art & Design District, is a way to introduce various ideas between local and international artists, provide opportunity to emerging artists, as well as introduce work that may not have the chance to be presented in conventional galleries or retail spaces. We aim to create " One Wall Happenings" with curated elements that provide dialogue and exchange of new ideas. 

We are constantly evolving our programming and look forward to more projects with disparate groups of talented and innovative practitioners from artists, designers, performers, writers, technologists, makers of every type along with input and interaction from the public.  It is the blending of multi-disciplinary work that we find most exciting and hope our audiences do too.
