Art Tote 4 Good

EXHIBITION OF ORIGINAL ART TOTES  & PILOT PROJECT

ABOUT THE PROJECT: We started with a "Call For Artists" and suggested the following: Consider this “ tote” as a blank canvas for your artwork. Use various art materials and methods i.e., paint, ink, markers thread, etc. Paint by hand, silk screen, stamp, use embroidery, or all of the above. Use all of the field, front and back or be minimal and design whatever represents your original content. No rules on how and what to create, just keep in mind we are located in a public space where there are a lot of families with young children.

From this request the project launched and now we have a few on exhibit and featured on our website.  This is a model project that can be organized all over the world. It is a great way to do good for the planet, good for the arts, and good for charity.  Art Tote 4 Good is just starting and we thank all who participated and who support!

THE ORIGINAL ART TOTES WILL BE FOR SALE _ THESE ARE CONSIDERED " ARTWORKS" ON CANVAS and priced accordingly.

FROM RETAIL PRICE: 50% for Artist, 25% to Greater Boston Food Bank 25% to Project to support effort in reproduction cost and taking project to next level.

Some of these "ORIGINALS" will be selected for reproduction to be distributed by regional and national vendors. The artists will continue to benefit and the charity will continue to benefit.  However, regardless of how the original work has been created, the reproduction of the artworks will be in sustainable, ethically sourced, environmentally friendly methods, and on organic cotton and Fair Trade listed materials.

TAKE PART IN THIS PILOT PROJECT AND SUPPORT THE EFFORT EITHER BY JOINING THE ARTISTS AND SUBMIT WORK, OR BUY AN ORIGINAL WORK OF ART ( ON CANVAS TOTE  14 x14 )
